Free credit report sites warned they may be violating new law
FTC says commercial free credit report sites often have strings attached The Federal Trade Commission issued a warning to nine companies, operating 18 “free credit report” websites, that they were violating new federal regulations designed to alert consumers about the strings sometimes attached to these offers.

Tax credits may help state’s small businesses
More than 76.5 percent of Connecticut small businesses with fewer than 25 employees will be eligible this year for tax credits. These credits will help pay the cost of employee health coverage, according to a report issued Wednesday by the consumer health organization, Families USA and the small abusiness advocacy group, Small Business Majority.
